Sacramental and Pastoral Guidelines

Holy Communion can be administered only to baptized and confirmed (chrismated) Eastern Orthodox Christians who are in complete harmony with the sacramental life of the Church, and if married, are married in the Orthodox Church. The same applies for the Sacrament of Holy Unction (Efhelaion, Holy Oil). Orthodox Christians, who are divorced civilly, but not ecclesiastically, cannot participate in the sacramental life of the Church. Please do not put the priest in the difficult position to refuse to administer the Sacraments.

If for any reason you find that you cannot receive the Sacraments of the Church, please call Christos in order for both you and him to find a solution to your condition.

The Holy Eucharist can only be offered during the course of the year-round Liturgies that have been scheduled in the proper liturgical context. For shut-ins, please call Christos to arrange a time to administer Holy Communion and / or Holy Unction.
